Characteristics of a 2e Child

The characteristics in this infographic are divided into strengths and deficits. Parents and teachers should keep in mind that these characteristics are considered typical, but that the 2e children are a highly diverse group of learners. 


What is twice exceptional (2e)?


The term twice exceptional, often abbreviated as 2e, is a term often used to describe kids who are exceptional because they’re gifted and because they have learning disabilities, learning disorders, attention difficulties, or just plain learning differences.
